Erin Michelson, Founder + CEO

Summery’s Founder and CEO, Erin Michelson is a leading growth strategist with experience working within both the financial and social arenas with firms such as Bank of America, Morgan Stanley, and American Express, as well as Kellogg, Ashoka, and Tides foundations. Author of the Adventure Philanthropist book series, Erin has a BA from Mills College, an M.Phil. from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and a MA from The New School for Social Research in system design. Erin is a recognized woman founder and tech entrepreneur.

Dr. Helga Wild, Behavioral Science

Leading Summery’s Behavioral Science team, Helga’s work combines qualitative research and systemic design focusing on how individuals and groups interact with one another. She did her undergraduate work in Systems Theory at Linz University and received her PhD in Psychology and Neuroscience from Leopold Franzens Universität Innsbruck. Awarded the prestigious Schroedinger Fellowship, Helga was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University, conducted experimental research at the Neuropsychology Lab at Stanford, and worked at the Xerox Palo Alto Research Center (PARC).

Dr. Steve Ketchpel, Data & Computer Science

Steve specializes in web customer experience behavior analysis. His first start-up was co-founding Vividence, a provider of customer experience management tools and services. Author of the book Giving Back, Steve has a PhD and MSc from Stanford University and an AB in computer science from Harvard University.

Dr. Robert Lewis, Communications & Cognitive Science

As a quantitative media psychologist, Robert lends his expertise to support Summery’s data integrity, data visualization, and UI/ UX. An Assistant Professor at University of Texas at Austin, Robert earned his BA in Journalism / Computer Science from Southeast Missouri State University, an MA in Communication from University of Missouri-Saint Louis, and his PhD from Michigan State University in Communication with an interdepartmental specialization in Cognitive Science.

Ruston Vickers, Technology

Overseeing Summery’s technology, Ruston created the software LISA and co-founded ITKO, which was acquired by CA Technologies. Most recently, Ruston was the Chief DevOps Architect & SVP of Product Management and Strategy of Application Delivery at CA Technologies. Ruston has a Business degree from Texas Tech University.

Chad Rea, Brand & Creative Direction

Chad oversees the creative development and execution of Summery’s organizational and product brands. Working with some of the hottest creative agencies in the world, in addition to the one he founded, Chad has helped create influence, demand, social currency and profitability for over 170 brands, including Nike, Google, Starbucks, MTV, and Target. He’s a former teacher of creativity at two of the nation’s top advertising schools and his work has been featured in over 16 books on innovation. He earned his BA from Texas Tech University.

Reena Jadhav, Marketing & Social Media

Reena is honing Summery’s market approach. She is an entrepreneur, investor and startup coach that has founded and worked at five startups and has deep experience in market launching award winning products, business model innovation and revenue generation. Reena has a BSc. in Marketing and Accounting (summa cum laude) from Wharton and a MBA from Harvard University.

Jeff Smith, High Technology Sales

Jeff lends his expertise in high technology sales, marketing, business development, and corporate development. He was most recently with RBM Technologies, a leading cloud based retail software company that was successfully sold. Prior to RBM, Jeff was the Founding and Managing Partner of XcelR8 Partners that provided business development consulting services to accelerate revenue traction for early stage companies. Jeff graduated from Boston College, has a MBA from Southern New Hampshire University and earned a Masters in International Business from Thunderbird.

Jane Levikow, Ethics & Philanthropy

Jane is a leader in the social sector and regarded as an expert in philanthropic management, leading Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors’ Sponsor Projects Division. Past Senior VP at Tides Foundation, she was also Founding Chair of the National Network of Fiscal Sponsors. Jane has a BA from USF and a MA in Ethics from Boston College.
